In the previous article “InterServer WordPress VPS: My Personal Experience”, I shared with you my experience of how I ordered, configured, and tested a WordPress VPS from InterServer.
In this article, I’m going to show you how I activated SSL on my InterServer VPS with Webuzo Control Panel for free.
With Webuzo, activating SSL on a VPS Server is something easy to do.
What is SSL?
In layman’s terms, SSL (Secure Socket Layer) secures communication between your visitors’ computers and your server.
So communications between their browsers and your server are encrypted, inaccessible by third parties, and secure: Your visitors can, for instance, shop on your website without worries.
Modern browsers today warn users of insecure websites, and most of them show a warning message in front of their URLs.
To avoid this and get the green (secure) sign in front of your website’s URL and gain people’s trust, you need to activate SSL.
Step 1: Log in to Your Webuzo Dashboard
On InterServer, if you don’t know yet the link that leads to your Webuzo Dashboard, you can either follow the link you received on your Welcome Email or log in to your InterServer and in your Server Page search for Webuzu Portal.

Step 2: Search for Lets Encrypt
In your Webuzo Dashboard, look for Lets Encrypt under the SSL tab and click on it.
